Covid-19 Information 31-03-20

Here is some information on social distancing (one for upper KS2 and secondary and the other for younger children). Tupton Hall Language Leaders 15th March

Tupton Hall Language Leader Visit – Wednesday 8th and 15th.

We are pleased to welcome students from Tupton Hall again during the afternoon of Wednesday 15th. A group of student language leaders, accompanied by MFL teacher Pippa Gamble, will be providing taster German sessions for Peregines and Kingfishers. Last week our children enjoyed some PowerPoint presentations about Germany, including a quiz and animal names in German, followed by a game of snap to test their memory. Children practiced greetings, like, “Guten tag,” and  Auf Wiedersehn,” had a laugh trying to recognise some famous German faces, like Angela Merkel and Albert Einstein.

Cross Country and fun to run

On Thursday 6th October 28 children (over 60% of the school!) went to Tupton Hall for the Cross country and fun to run competitions. Once the races started there were hundreds of people there running and supporting the children.

The Stretton Handley children performed brilliantly in the course which was nearly 2000m for the years 4, 5 and 6 and 1000m for the year 2 and 3’s.

Special mentions go out to LH who came 2nd overall in the y4 girls competition and GT and FT who came 5th and 3rd respectively in the year 3 boys and year 3 girls competition.

The children had a fantastic time at such a well run event!
