We subscribe to a number of online services to support teaching and learning:

We use ClassDojo to share our work and news and to communicate with parents and carers.

Education City – our school subscribes to this service with home access. Numeracy, Literacy and Science activities are occasionally set via the homework section but the site may be used freely by children.

Children also have logins for:

Code.org – online coding courses (all year groups)

TypingClub – online typing course (Juniors)

Numbots – online Mathematical recall games (all year groups)

IHub– online Newspaper and comprehension (Juniors)

Epic! – Online books

Minecraft education – children have access to the education edition via their school Microsoft accounts (Juniors). For further information, read the “Parents’ Guide to Minecraft“.

Teach your monster to read – computer version is free, app for phones and tablets costs around £4.99 (Infants).

Oxford Owl for home – free e-books and linked games (all year groups)

Collins Big Cat ebooks – you will find all the Collins reading books we have in school here and many more. Please keep a list of books you have read in your reading journal.

Timestables.co.uk – Great for learning and practising times tables in addition to Education City (Juniors)

BBC Bitesize – all year groups
From 20 April BBC Bitesize has a new, extended website including regular, daily online lessons for all year groups and loads of  fun stuff like videos, quizzes, podcasts and articles.

Useful software: (Reminder to children, ask an adult to download and install software)

Tux Paint – an excellent free painting program which can be downloaded for PC and Mac. There is also a version for Android tablets. Tip: run the configurator after installing to set the video settings to full screen and to the native screen settings. The program may take longer to load on first use.
