Children in KS2 – Years 3, 4, 5 and 6, have swimming lessons at Sharley Park Leisure Centre on Friday mornings. Please ensure your child has their swimming kit in school for the dates shown below. Girls should wear a one piece swimsuit and boys should wear trunks (above the knees). Goggles may only be worn if parents have signed the appropriate permission form. If possible, earrings should not be worn on PE and swimming days. In any case, earrings must be removed before swimming; please provide a small container for these to be kept in your child’s swimming bag. Children who have asthma inhalers, must bring them to their lessons.
All children participate, as swimming is a requirement of the National Curriculum. They will be excused for medical reasons only, in which case a letter must be sent into school.
