Lea Hurst Visit

Years 2 & 3 visited Lea Hurst, the Derbyshire home of Florence Nightingale as part of their history topic. It is now a nursing home, and a lovely caring place to spend your autumn days! Sue (staff member) showed us round and we saw Florence's books, pictures and even her pet owl that had been stuffed. The children sang spring songs to the residents and chatted to them. Miss Bassett who is 102 especially impressed them.
