If you have nest boxes at home, now is a good time to clear out any old nests\u00a0(it is only legal to do this between 1 August and 31 Jaunuary).\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.rspb.org.uk\/advice\/helpingbirds\/nestboxes\/smallbirds\/maintenance.aspx\" target=\"_blank\"> The RSPB website<\/a>\u00a0has some advice on how to do this.<\/p>\n<p>We will upload pictures from the boxes every now and then to check whether we have any night time winter visitors. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.lea.derbyshire.sch.uk\/birdcam\/templenormanton\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\">Temple Normanton Primary School <\/a>have a roosting blue tit in theirs.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Both our nest boxes have been cleaned out ready for the next nesting season.
