The children are getting very proficient in naming the birds visiting the feeders as well as the less familiar ones out on the reservoir. A magnificent Great Spotted Woodpecker also visited twice. In total we saw 27 different bird species (3 more than\u00a0<a style=\"line-height: 1.4em;\" title=\"Bird Bonanza at Ogston Reservoir \u2013 Week 1\" href=\"https:\/\/www.strettonhandley.derbyshire.sch.uk\/wildlife\/bird-bonanza-at-ogston-reservoir\/\">last week<\/a>):<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Mallard,\u00a0<strong>Tufted Duck<\/strong>, Great Crested Grebe, Canada Goose, Little Grebe,<strong>Lapwing<\/strong>, Black-headed Gull,\u00a0<strong>Gadwall<\/strong>, Grey Heron,\u00a0<strong>Teal<\/strong>, Coot, Cormorant,\u00a0<strong>Pied Wagtail<\/strong>, Robin, Nuthatch, Blue Tit, Coal Tit,\u00a0<strong>Great Spotted Woodpecker<\/strong>, Great Tit, Goldfinch, Chaffinch, Greenfinch,\u00a0<strong>Redpoll<\/strong>, Reed Bunting, Dunnock, Blackbird and\u00a0<strong>Bullfinch<\/strong>.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Someone said they saw a \u2018Nut Tit\u2019!
