Additional activites were run by visitors to the school. An African dance workshop was led by Debbie Hedderwick. Younger children used animals as the starting point for their movement. The older ones used poetry and the idea of a journey in Africa. Alan Kirkland (Toe Tapping Music) ran a performance workshop where all children could be fully involved producing music, regardless of musical ability, using colourful tuned plastic tubes, as well as everyday items such as plastic bottles (pictured above). We are also grateful to James Coates who kept the children entertained with an assembly based on the "Carnival of the Animals".
