  1. The sparrow sleeping in the black and white box every night always seems to sleep facing the hole, albeit with his head tucked in.Could this be so he can quickly react to intruders?

  2. A pair of blue tits and a pair of sparrows both visiting the nest this morning. The sparrows (mainly the male) seem to be building the nest, whereas the blue tits are only visiting.

  3. Early morning and the house sparrow has been in just a few times. Perhaps to warm up his feet away from the snow on the groundd.

  4. Where's he gone? This is the first night our sparrow hasn't spent the night in the box. Did anyone see him earlier?

  5. vERY ACTIVE BLUETIT IN THE BOX THIS PM HAS HE PERHAPS TAKEN OVER FROM THE SPARROW? IF SO LETS HOPE MR SPARROW DOESNT RETALIATE LIKE LAST YEAR!

  6. The sparrow didn't sleep in the box last night for the third night in a row. Both male and female were busy in the box during the morning though.

  7. Both sparrows have been in the box a lot this morning. The male concentrating on getting the nest into shape and the female pecking around the hole.

  8. Guess who I spotted in the box this morning? A tree sparrow. I do hope it hasn't come to cause trouble like last year!

  9. The nest box is empty but since i last looked there was hardly anyhting in.So there hopfully may be some new life soon fingers crossed. But there may be some fighting over the nest if we keep seeing differnt birds go in,like blue tits and sparrows.

  10. the blue tits and sparrows may be best m8s so there visting each house or shall i say nest thats why we sometimes see the birds togethor…

  11. The nest is taking shape, it is mainly made of dried grass an quite untidy. Blue tits and house sparrows are visiting. Both have been spotted with nesting material in their beaks. Whose nest is it?

  12. There don't appear to have been any visitors in the box today. Certainly not since lunchtime, as the nest appears undisturbed.

  13. I saw a bird in your box a little bit ago but i have no idea what type it was as I am rubbish at identifying birds!!

  14. I saw house sparrows in the nest box this morning. There is a big black feather in the nest now, I wonder who it belonged to?

  15. Well we end the month with a nest mainly built by the house sparrows but the blue tits are still visiting! No sign of feathering the nest and no eggs visible. I wonder what May holds for our B&W birdcam box?
