MODERN WARFARE 2!

March 1st, 2010 by Mufc#1flabie · Game, Reviews

This brill game is  great  for call of duty (COD) fans, it’s got online play and great graphics. It’s one of the countries most played games and is particularly great for army fans. There is a new gamemode called spec ops. For ps3 I think it’s the best, it takes from call of duty 4 . The Theme is about the the taskforce 141  and US army Rangers. IT’S  AN ABSOLUTE MASTERPIECE! (BEST ON PS3)………

YEAR ONE IS COOL (film)

March 1st, 2010 by SANDO #1 · Film, Reviews

This movie was hilarious! The simple purpose of this movie is to ENTERTAIN!..simple. Jack Black and Michael Cera make a great team, and the supporting cast are great as well- the fight scene between Paul Rudd and David Cross will make you laugh SO MUCH!

The film is about two people who run away from their camp site and while  they’re away, their girlfriends get captured  by invaders and become slaves. It’s so good, my favourite part is when Jack Black eats brown mushy things.

www.roblox.com

March 1st, 2010 by HOT DOG DUDE 3! · Game, Website

Roblox is an Internet game that is kid friendly, anybody can play. You can play as a guest or make a free account! When you have an account  you may add others as friends. You have to download the roblox programme but it does no harm to your computer (No viruses). This program is blocked at schools so you can not get to the website.

The aim of the game is to build your own virtual world and to interact with other peoples. You can create your own design for a house and also customize your character – change his or her clothes, face, hair etc. However, to do this  you need tickets (you are given about ten a day).

I have found that you need a good internet connection like wireless sky broadband or wired broadband to play the game.

HAITI HELP SHOCK!

February 23rd, 2010 by greengirl734 · Announcements, Music

Yes, as most of you know a few weeks ago Jedward and Owl City were battling it out for Number One that week. But a massive shock came when Haiti’s Help song became Number One of that week. I think a very worthy winner after that terrible earthquake they had to suffer, and I know someone whose Grandad nearly got killed and how much shock came to them.

                                                          !!!!!!!!!GET BETTER SOON HAITI!!!!!!!!!!

Well done though to Owl city and Jedward because they also did VERY well :)

There are a variety of after school clubs for us to do such as dance club, football club, Thursday club, mini-games club which are all held on different days. Dance club is on a Friday and is for all ages. Football club is yet to be aranged and is only for year three  and up. Thursday club is on a Thursday obviously!!!! and is for all ages. Mini-games club is on a Monday and is also for all ages.

Last year I did Dance club and I am doing it again this year. In the club we follow different themes  last year it was quite a cowboy theme it was really good fun. I would recommend it to everyone in our school.

Mrs Kirk and Miss Wakelam teach dancing club it’s really good fun, we all have a laugh and we’d love it if more people would join this year.

Tell us which club you like the best.

year 6 boys dodgeball 17.01.10

February 1st, 2010 by pepsi maximun · Games we play

Two year 6 boys  made a crazy dodge ball game on the school playground. The girls threw the ball at the year 6 boys along with a dinner lady. The year 6 boys crowded in a group to hide behind each other and not get hit with the ball. Unfortunately the ball was kicked over the wall  and someone had to fetch it. It was great fun and we will playing it again at dinner break.

Student Teacher

February 1st, 2010 by Miss Wakelam · Visitors to school

My Name is Miss. Wakelam and I am the student teacher in Class 3. I am currently studying at Derby University, in the second year of four, on the Bachelor of Education (Hons) (B.Ed) course.

Before the Christmas holidays I was in school, getting to know everyone, for 3 weeks. From today I will be teaching Class 3 for five weeks. Two weeks this side of the half-term holiday and three weeks following it.

Staff and pupils at Stretton Handley Primary School have made me feel very welcome and accepted into the school’s community.

I hope that the next five weeks will be very successful for both myself and the pupils in Class 3.

60s Disco

January 22nd, 2010 by dancefiver · Events

Last week we had a 60’s disco most people came dressed up.It was really fun to see how they dressed and danced. We had a disco because we was celebrating  the schools 40th anniversary. All the music was from the 60s and everyone was dancing the night away twisting and popping, the scene was really good. the disco was  called the FLOWER POWER, the room was full of flowers that people  had decorated. We all had a real laugh. HAPPY BIRTHDAY SCHOOL!!!

We were meant to be having a birthday assembly but because of bad weather it had to be postponed until term 4.

!!SUPERB SNOW!!

January 22nd, 2010 by greengirl734 · News

snowy2010School was disrupted for two weeks because of the snow.  At first we loved the snow but towards the end, we got sick of it! Well most of us anyway. With roads blocked, hospitals crowded, and people scared to go out, the icy weather was a thing you can’t forget this year!

Most schools over Britain were closed because of this glory from above, but one day outside was so slippy its was referred to either a sheet of glass or an ice rink. Plus it was said to be one  of the longest  stretches of snowy weather in Britain for a long time!  When we managed to get into school we built snowmen and igloos and forts and had a real fun time in the snow!

Tell us what you did in the snow!!

RED NOSE DAY 09

March 25th, 2009 by cola123 · Events

noses1This year has been great for red nose day.  Most of the money is going towards mosquito nets because at nighttime, in Africa, children and grownups get bitten by infected  mosquitoes and may die  the next day if not treated. At our school we told jokes  and paid £1 each. Mr Searson was very pleased to hear that most of the people said the money came out of our own pocket money. We would like to know what you and your school did for rnd xXx
