The silver birch tree can grow up to 25 metres tall and bigger. The tree looks weepy because the twigs are hanging down. | |||||||||||||||||||
The leaves are single, and they are an oval shape.The green leaves are 3cm long. Birch flowers are called catkins. | |||||||||||||||||||
When the twig buds are attacked by either a tiny mite or fungus a bundle of tiny twigs forms. This is called witches broom. | |||||||||||||||||||
