School Council

What is a School Council?

The School Council is an invaluable way all the children's voice is heard in the school community. They are not a body of six who make decisions on behalf of the other children; they are the children's representatives and in that role gather the collective views and opinions of all children to bring to the attention of the staff and governors.

Each year, children who wish to stand for election as a School Council member are asked to complete a manifesto. These are debated in class and elections are held to elect two members for each class.
