Charging and Remissions Policy

The Governors have approved the following recommendations with regard to charges and remissions:

1. Voluntary contributions for day visits will be asked for from parents to cover the basic costs. No child will be disadvantaged if parents are unable to pay.
2. Children completing any cookery, sewing, pottery or technology work at school may take the articles home after making an appropriate voluntary contribution to cover the basic costs.
3. Any extended visits in school time will require voluntary contributions as under item 1.
4. Any extended visits in the holiday period will normally require contributions by parents to cover all costs incurred.
5. Requests for subjects access (under the data protection regulations) will not be charged for.
6. If a child causes wilful damage to equipment or property, parents will be requested to voluntarily contribute to the repair.
