Football match vs Park House B

On Tuesday 31st October 2017 the Stretton Handley team travelled to Park House Primary school for a league match.

With the dark nights drawing in, the game kicked off quickly and Stretton started quickly! In the first minute LM managed to dribble down the wing beating 2 defenders before crossing the ball low and hard for LR to tap the ball calmly into the bottom corner to make it 1-0 to Stretton Handley. Park House responded and managed to show some good passing and created a good chance which TH saved well only for the rebound to fall to a Park House player who tapped it in to make it 1-1. Stretton then began to dominate and some excellent work from MH meant that LM had a good chance which the Park House keeper saved brilliantly.

The second half kicked off and again Stretton started quickly. RJ managed to win the ball and passed to LR who passed to LM who dribbled through and shot the ball into the bottom corner to make it 2-1 to Stretton. A few minutes later some good defending from GT, GH and MT meant that Stretton were able to attack quickly and LR played the ball forward to MH who cut inside and passed to LM who coolly slotted the ball into the roof of the net to make it 3-1 to Stretton Handley. With 5 minutes to go TH made another good save and LH cleared the ball well to MH who laid the ball off for LM who was 20 yards out. LM smashed the ball first time and it flew like a rocket into the top corner to make it 4-1 and to grab his second hat trick of the season!

A brilliant performance from Stretton Handley with some excellent defending and attacking and a well deserved win following an impressive team performance,

A fantastic 4-1 win for Stretton Handley sees them nearing the top of the league!

Next game at home to North Wingfield on Monday 6th November 2017.
